Happy summertime, everyone!
This is the week when we’re usually building a festival site in Victoria Park. We’d be loading in the main stage, mapping different areas with chalk paint, and coordinating hundreds of volunteers to make the festival run smoothly. Our hearts are a little tender but we’re happy to be doing what’s right for the festival: taking a fallow year to rebuild and renew our resources.
That said, we’re also filled with joy! The Skygazer Soirée is this Saturday, August 10th in the Conexus Arts Centre! We’re so excited to listen to Chantal Kreviazuk, Aysanabee, Great Lake Swimmers, Belle Plaine and Merv xx Gotti make beautiful music! We’re also excited and delighted that so many restaurants and breweries are offering Skygazer dishes, drinks and discounts this weekend. xo

Tomorrow we’re throwing a free noontime concert outside of the Regina Public Library’s Central Branch featuring Megan Nash and okimawᐅᑭᒪᐤ, performing separately and together in a folk-fest style workshop! Along with the music there will be complimentary coffee care of Pause Cafe as well as complimentary food from The Hampton Hub (while supplies last). You are welcome to bring along a potluck dish to share as well, with the ingredients clearly labeled. Stick around for a DIY instrument workshop at 1pm! Full details can be found here.
