A Special Message from the RFF
Hello dear friends and supporters,
Good news: we’re still here! We’d like to thank everyone for their unwavering support. Our success is all because of YOU. Your support—be it generous funding and donations, volunteer time, or kind words of understanding—has ensured the continuation of the Regina Folk Festival. All the kind messages we received, offers of support, and tangible aid have warmed our hearts during a difficult time. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
We’d like to extend special thanks to The Department of Canadian Heritage, SK Arts, City of Regina, Tourism Saskatchewan, TD Bank, Sask Arts Alliance, Edmonton Folk Festival, Pile o’ Bones Brewing Company, and Rebellion Brewing Company, among many others. The support that these funders, sponsors and partners have provided to us at this critical hour for the organization has been both stabilizing and heart-warming.
The Regina Folk Festival recognizes the need to change for the better. We are taking a fallow year; a year away from summer festival programming to rebuild our resources and vision in a reality that's still in flux for presenting arts organizations across Canada after the economic challenges resulting from the pandemic.
But don’t fret! We’re delighted to share that the 53rd edition of the Regina Folk Festival will run from August 8-10, 2025, with an updated format that is sustainable and reflective of the beautiful community we’re in.
‘You Had To Be Here (YHTBH)’ tickets purchased last year will be honoured for the 2025 festival – along with some extra special perks! We’ll be in touch or you can contact us here for more information.
In lieu of a festival, we will be presenting an extra special concert series throughout 2024! We're scheming to bring you excellent experiences and look forward to swaying together soon. Keep in touch for upcoming announcements on this and other existing yearlong RFF initiatives!
In the meantime, we invite you to help us rebuild and reimagine in the following ways:
- Donate to the festival to make more memories
- Volunteer to help with our concert series and fundraising activities
- Sign up as a sponsor
- Watch for opportunities to engage with your ideas and feedback
- Spread the word by tapping your network to buy 2024 concert tickets (more info coming soon!)
Since 1969, the Regina Folk Festival has relied on the strength of our community. Now, we're calling on you to ensure the festival stays strong for another 50 years. We can't do it without you.
With gratitude,
The Regina Folk Festival
