Winterruption 2023 Lineup!

REGINA FOLK FESTIVAL PRESENTS WINTERRUPTION 2023

We will return to your regularly scheduled winter in just a moment...

Win-ter-rup-tion /ˈwin(t)ər’rəpSH(ə)n/

1. 15+ artists, 5 events, 3 super hawt days

2. Concerts and happenings to melt winter blues!

3. A Very Good Time during the coldest prairie season

Winterruption is a late-January festival that blends indoor concerts and outdoor activities to cook up something warming to look forward to at the end of January. This year features a special evening with Hawksley Workman at Darke Hall, an intimate evening with Polaris Music Prize winner Pierre Kwenders, two showcase concerts (The Winterruption Prairie Network and Cups N Cakes Network), The Aunty Show curated and hosted by Zoey Roy, an outdoor skating party and a drone music sound bath courtesy of the Holophon Drone Ensemble.

In 2023, the magical beast that is Winterruption turns 8! As part of the 2023 RFF Concert Series and with a taste of the summer Festival itself, we at the RFF along with our partners in Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Swift Current present three wonderful days of musical warmth on some of the coldest days of the year. On January 26th through 28th Regina will get a whole lot cooler thanks to Winterruption.  Each year varies from each other in form and content but are always unequivocally beautiful successes and we look forward to sharing great music with Regina audiences once again.

How to support accessible programming (donating)

The Regina Folk Festival Inc. is a Charitable, Non-Profit organization whose purpose is to present accessible live music in the context of community-building opportunities year-round, whether this is at our Summer Festival, Winterruption, our Concert Series, or at our School Outreach Programming.

We want everyone to be able to experience the magic of creative community; we are committed to working toward making our summer festival, and our programming generally, more accessible to more people. At the core of this wish, the RFF offers all of its daytime programming during the summer festival for free: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/reginafolkfestival/
