The Regina Folk Festival (RFF) is seeking a Program Coordinator. Reporting to and providing crucial support for the Artistic Director, the Program Coordinator serves as the artist liaison and logistics coordinator for artistic programming at the Regina Folk Festival, and provides administrative support to the Artistic Director.

Compensation & Culture of Work: 

The Program Coordinator shall be managed per all relevant RFF policies. These policies include details on compensation (including pay, benefits, vacation, and sick time), hours of work, access to professional development support, and other details pertaining to the management of RFF employees. Specifics for this position include:  

  • This is a short-term temporary position with an anticipated term of May 13th to December 22nd, 2024. The successful candidate will be employed in a full-time (35 hours per week) capacity with a salary of $28,297.50 for the project term ($24.50 per hour equivalent).   

  • Earnings will be paid by direct deposit through the Administration Centre for Sport, Culture, and Recreation, semi-monthly.  

  • This position earns Vacation Leave at 1.25 days per month and Sick/Mental Health Leave at 1.5 days per month.   

  • While Regina Folk Festival employees work a flexible schedule to accommodate event staffing, it is expected that RFF employees balance event staffing requirements alongside availability during regular operational hours (M-F from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM) to make up the full time hours of the position. Scheduled work hours can be negotiated with the supervisor.  

  • At present, the Regina Folk Festival does not have an office location, and the Program Coordinator will be expected to work remotely. The program Coordinator will be provided with job-related equipment for the course of employment (laptop computer, event supplies, etc).  

  • The nature of the organization’s activities will require attendance at meetings, and evening/weekend work during event production as needed.

About the hiring process: 

  • Candidates will be assessed by a Hiring Committee made up of RFF staff.  

  • All candidates who submit an application shall be notified if they were not successful in moving forward for an interview before the successful candidate is announced. All candidates who participate in an interview and are not successful shall be similarly notified. 

  • During the hiring process, a review metric shall be created that aligns directly with the duties and responsibilities outlined in the Program Coordinator Job Description. This review metric shall be used to determine the suitability of all candidates.  

  • All candidates who participate in an interview will be provided with interview questions a minimum of one hour prior to their interview and will be asked to provide a minimum of three professional references who can speak to their suitability for this position.
