The Regina Folk Festival is seeking up to five nominees for a two-year term on our Board of Directors! We will be prioritizing nominees that identify as belonging to equity seeking groups, have an appreciation for the arts and community development, and possess expertise in the areas of:

- nonprofit governance and/or finances;

- community accountability and safer spaces policies;

- lawyers who specialize in the areas of entertainment, labour and/or contract law and nonprofit considerations.

 The Regina Folk Festival (RFF) celebrates the importance of music in our community. Building on our grassroots origins, we pay attention to the emerging dialogues in the city and in the greater culture about how music fits into a rapidly shifting society. RFF creates exciting events that boldly revel in artistic expression and the meaningful connections made through music, including an annual summer festival, Winterruption winter festival, concert series, and outreach events.

The RFF Board of Directors is a policy/governance board responsible for governing the affairs of the organization to ensure that the vision, mission, and objectives of the RFF are met. Board members are elected to two year terms and may stay on the board for a maximum of three consecutive terms. The board currently meets monthly, with the exception of December and August. All board members are expected to contribute via work on one of the standing committees.

Potential nominees can put their names forward by filling out this form before March 25, 2022: CLICK HERE!
