Every Child Matters - Sept. 30th, 2021

Every Child Matters. The first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is tomorrow. It is a day to recognize and commemorate the legacy of residential schools. As such, the Regina Folk Festival will be closed for the day.

Across Canada there have been thousands of unmarked graves found. There are yet more missing children who deserve to be brought home.

“We would like to bring these reports to the country’s attention as there is more work to be done and more children to be found to honour and protect them.” -the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation.

Reports can be found here: https://nctr.ca/records/reports/

We encourage those who are able to take the day to reflect and actively partake in acts of reconciliation. Donations can be made here: https://www.irsss.ca/donate
