NEW ARTISTS!

Pantayo joins the 52nd Regina Folk Festival lineup! Pantayo is an all-women kulintang ensemble based in Toronto. They combine percussive metallophones and drums from kulintang traditions of Southern Philippines with electronic and synth-based grooves. They also offer music and cultural workshops to teach kulintang. Pantayo explores the possibility of kulintang through their experiences as queer diasporic Filipinas.

With a confident voice Celeigh Cardinal owns a stage, connecting deeply through humour and vulnerability. She has received awards and nominations from the JUNO Awards, the CBC Music Awards and the Western Canadian Music Awards. Celeigh has charted on the Indigenous Music Countdown, the CBC Music Top 20 Countdown and !earshot. With a growing radio-host career, Celeigh is becoming one of the great Canadian voices that make up the fabric of this country’s music scene.
