Each day of Summer Satellites for an intimate, online concert with prairie artists. The online “micro-concerts" of Summer Satellites house simple set-ups in unique locations with big musical and thoughtful experiences. Like an ant who has stumbled onto a picnic blanket, we the audience get to be part of something bigger than us.

éemi: free micro concert
éemi is a bilingual singer-songwriter from Saskatchewan. The Fransaskoise musician sets herself apart with her rich voice, minimalist lyricism and electro-folk tone. Her lyrics are poetic and dark with a playful side. éemi was nominated for a Saskatchewan Music Award and the Trille Or Awards for her debut EP Honey, released in April 2020.

Tristen Durocher: free micro concert
Tristen Durocher is a self-taught fiddle player whose home base has been both La Ronge and Buffalo Narrows, Saskatchewan. He started playing fiddle at the age of nine after his grandfather, who also played fiddle, passed away. He learned to play by listening to his grandfather play on a recording. He enjoys sharing his music in schools and at the special events for which his fiddle playing prowess is sought.

respectfulchild: free micro concert
respectfulchild is an interdisciplinary artist born, raised, and living as an uninvited guest on Treaty 6 Territory. Their work explores the quiet tensions and chaotic beauty of being a queer Chinese settler on the prairies, ranging from spontaneous improvisation to meticulous composition. Their debut album 在找::searching:: was released in the summer of 2017 on Coax Records and they have toured across Canada and Europe with artists such as Rae Spoon, A Tribe Called Red, and Jeremy Dutcher.
