vbnd is a Saskatchewan based musician who makes music aimed towards uplifting the Neosoul/Jazz/RnB scene in the province. With over 30 million streams across DSPs worldwide, vbnd is ready to show the world his smooth sounds of Jazz infused Neosoul/RnB.

ygretz  

ygretz has a secret weapon. She's already made peace with distance. In the prairies, it comes natural. Often overlooked, over-flown. But on her new EP "Jelly22", ygretz reminds us that we all dream in isolation. The artist offers up a hazy, opiated canvas self-animated videos with chiptune backdrops. She then paints with vocals like wide, pastel coated brush strokes.

Origin of Spin  

Origin of Spin is a Pakistani/Canadian beat maker who produces a mix of 90's Boom Bap, Trip-Hop, Downtempo, Jazz and Electronica. Raised in the analog era of turntables, drum machines and samplers, he navigates through technology in the digital age searching for sounds which invoke emotion, passion and impact the listener in a profound way.  

Germane  

Germane is not the type of person that can easily be categorized and that is reflected in the music that he creates. He makes music across many different genres. So far he has released songs that would fall under hip hop, dancehall and EDM categories. He is also getting ready to release his first country song. Germane believes music is truly the universal language and is excited to explore even more genres going forward. Germane is a teacher and was inspired to start his music career by his students at Dene High School in La Loche, northern Saskatchewan. Germane is a true lover of life and people and enjoys learning about other cultures and discussing politics when he is not creating music.

Eekwol  

Eekwol is an award-winning hip hop performing artist and activist living in Saskatoon, originally from Muskoday First Nation in Treaty Six Territory. She has dedicated years to the culture and craft of hip hop to create something unique and astounding to give back to the community. Eekwol uses her music and words to spread messages of resistance, revolution and keeping the language, land and culture alive for the next generations. Through her original sound she displays her activist roots by living and creating as a supporter of both Hip Hop and Indigenous culture and rights. 

Tesher  

Canadian rapper and producer Tesher rose to prominence through his unique brand of genre-bending remixes and mashups on YouTube and SoundCloud. Tesher released his debut original single Young Shahrukh in 2020, continuing his string of viral hits. Hailing from the city of Regina, Saskatchewan, Tesher and his music are one and the same: a blend of two cultures. As he draws on both his South Asian heritage and the Western culture he grew up in, Tesher aims to to create music that resonates not only with the South Asian diaspora, but with a global audience.

Marissa Burwell & Dale Mac

Marissa Burwell  

Marissa Burwell is an indie act from the heart of Saskatchewan, known best for her captivating yet endearing performances in basements and coffeeshops. On her self-titled EP we see an artist starting to find her sound and it is clear that she is on the verge of something special.   

Dale Mac  

Dale Mac, Roots/Rock/Blues songwriter, is from White Bear First Nation in Saskatchewan. The storytelling in his lyrics and driving music are both backed by his soulful and energetic guitars. Whether performing acoustic roots in intimate venues, amp driven blues, or rock based stage shows, Dale’s guitar writing is also the energy behind his range of song writing. He has two releases under his belt. His first release under the alias "Kinder Scout" (2015) was followed up by the successful EP "American Horse" (2017) under his name Dale Mac. His upcoming release "Pejuta Road" blends his threatened Nakota language, hand drumming, with contemporary guitar driven storytelling.

TOVA  

TOVA is one of the newest voices to emerge from the Queen City. Born Victor Adeolu Oriola, TOVA spent years working behind the scenes in the city’s music industry before stepping out on his own. In that time, he has produced and written for a plethora of musical acts home and abroad. His songwriting and production credits can be found on projects by Oboise, People of the Sun, D4wn, Grace, and ADEOLUWA.   

MELODNA  

MELODNA (mel•o•d•na) is catching fast attention as a young, prairie raised artist based in Saskatchewan. An up and coming singer-songwriter who is mastering her craft while speaking out on social injustices. You can expect to hear her own style of R&B while watching her progress in her new found love of rap. MELODNA unapologetically begins to rise.
