If you could see your music, what would it look like? 

My music would be a rainbow as I make music across different genres and express a wide array of emotions through my music.  

What is the most crucial equipment for your music-making? 

It is all about the beat for me, I hear a beat that I like and when it speaks to me then I can just let the lyrics come out. It is all about the inspiration that I get from listening to a good beat.  

What is your favourite home cooked meal? 

I really rate my skills in the kitchen, so that is a tough question, but it would be between my beef soup and my curry chicken.  

Tell us a handful of songs that you've always loved or that you've been enjoying lately!

I grew up listening to Bob Marley, Elvis and Kenny Rogers, so anything from those guys is always good for me. In terms of recent songs, I like "Watermelon Sugar" by Harry Styles.  


Germane is not the type of person that can easily be categorized and that is reflected in the music that he creates. He makes music across many different genres. So far he has released songs that would fall under hiphop, dancehall and EDM categories. He is also getting ready to release his first country song. Germane believes music is truly the universal language and is excited to explore even more genres going forward. Germane is a teacher and was inspired to start his music career by his students at Dene High School in La Loche, northern Saskatchewan. Germane is a true lover of life and people and enjoys learning about other cultures and discussing politics when he is not creating music.
