REGINA FOLK FESTIVAL MEDIA POLICY:
Thank you for your interest in covering the Regina Folk Festival. To be added to our press contact list; to book interviews with Artistic Director Sandra Butel, or to request hard copy press kits, media passes, further media information, or advance copies; email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (306) 757-0308. Please share any coverage produced about the festival or our concert series with us! We'd love to see or hear it.
Festival information and artist biographies and links can be found in the 2019 Press Kit.
Please note, the festival offers a limited number of media passes - even if you apply by the deadline, space is not guaranteed. Completed Media Accreditation Forms must be signed by editors, assignment editors, or producers. We do not accredit freelancers without a definite assignment from a program or publication.
Priority will be given to:
- Daily newspapers
- Magazines, weekly and bi-weekly newspapers
- Local radio and television affiliates
- Approved and well-established websites
- Wire services (CP, Reuters, etc.)
During the festival, all performer interviews are arranged through our Media Team. Interviews with artists prior to or after the festival can be arranged directly with them. Make your requests early. Give the Media Team as much advance notice as possible so we can arrange your requests. To contact the Media Team, please stop by the Information Booth located on the south side of the cenotaph in Victoria Park during festival weekend or email Media Team Leader, Deb Young prior to the festival.
The Regina Folk Festival reserves the right to revoke credentials for unprofessional behaviour or conduct. Credentials are not transferable. Images for editorial use are available on our media downloads page, please contact the folk festival office for more information. Also, no credentialed media may take video footage (including digital) except for accredited local TV affiliates or those with advance written consent from the Regina Folk Festival.
Deadline to apply for media accreditation is August 1, 2019.
