Carol Rose Daniels is a professional writer, singer/drummer, artist, actress and storyteller in Saskatchewan and a member of the Cree First Nation. She has extensive experience as a journalist as the first aboriginal woman to anchor a national news broadcast in Canada on CBC Newsworld, and later anchored and hosted on APTN and CBC North. Her work has earned several awards, including the 2009 National Aboriginal Achievement Award. Her poetry and short fiction have been included in several anthologies. She released her first novel Bearskin Diary in 2015. It was nominated for 3 Saskatchewan Book Awards. Her first book of poetry will be released in early 2018 as will her second novel and publication of several children's titles.
